Over the years, many Japanese local businesses have been integral to both supporting our festival and contributing to Japanese-American culture in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. As such, it’s our honor to highlight these businesses on our site and tell a little bit of their stories.
Founded on a sunny afternoon on the warm grass of Seattle’s Seward Park on May 8, 1976, the Seattle Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival has grown to become a three-day celebration enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people.
